Meet our Members
HeatherI have been attending since 1996. I have loved skiing since I was a kid, but being from NY I had only experienced the Vermont slopes. With the airline club, I was able to ski the big resorts out west and what a difference! Real powder! I soon started to race for Northwest and that rekindled my competitive spirit. I now race in the A division but still have a long way to go to catch the "fast" girls! I really enjoy the parties, especially theme party night on Wednesdays. I like to dance and soon after joining, realized that there are lots of cute, athletic, fun guys in the club too! I'm looking forward to another great season and hope that Team Delta can hold on to our title as NAASF champions! ScottyMy ski club friends call me Scotty. DSSC member since 1991. I grew up skiing but mostly at the smaller resorts throughout the Pacific Northwest. The ski club gave us a reason (and the great group discounts) to expand our skiing to not only the best resorts in the U.S. but to many of the top European resorts as well. The group of lifelong friends I have made from airlines all over the world is priceless. DSSC is now one of the largest ski and snowboard clubs in NAASF and we look forward to defending our team titles. Think snow! RobI started skiing in my thirties. Late bloomer. When I first came to SLC, I heard about Delta Ski & Snowboard Club. Since joining in 1999, I have made some of the greatest friendships, and been to some awesome resorts in N. America, as well as Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden & Finland. I've also become a much better skier. (Okay, I sound like a commercial!) But seriously, it's a blast! The parties are fun, the resorts are excellent, and the people are real friends. I've been V. President, & President of the club, and I'm currently a board member. Needless to say, joining the club is one of the best things I've ever done! Hope to see you out there on the slopes! SarahI came to my first ski week in 2005 at Steamboat, CO. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. I had heard that the parties were pretty wild, and I'd never raced before. I had so much fun at my first ski week, that I've rarely missed one since. I've made some great friends from many different airlines. I also was able to improve my skiing considerably since joining the club. The ski instruction that I received at the Copper Mountain Clinics has really been a big help. I never thought I would be ski racing before I joined the club, but now I really get a kick out of racing. And yes, we do have a lot of fun at the parties.

Do you need new skis or a new board? Maybe you’re looking for a smashing tight speed suit that won't break the budget (and it will make you faster on the course). The annual Park City Ski Swap is the place to go. You can get great deals on used skis, boards and winter gear of all types. Skis, boards, boots, bindings, jackets, pants - you name it you may find it at the swap. Typically venders will dump a lot of new, never used equipment from previous season also.
The 38th annual Park City Ski Swap will take place November 5, 6 & 7, 2010 at the Basin Recreation Field House in Park City Utah. You can find more information on their website
You can sell your old equipment too – details on their website – they prefer hardware no older than 5 years – but the 70's ski pants and jackets you have in the closet just may be big sellers.
Scott, DSSC Pres.

Wow, another ski season has come and gone. The Telluride week was the largest meet of the season with over 250 participants. Delta alone had over 40 members attend. We started the week with perfect weather and the skiing and boarding on Monday and Tuesday was fantastic.

Guten Tag everyone!
Just a few weeks ago, twelve members of your Delta Ski & Snowboard Club travelled to Schladming, Austria to participate in the World Airline Ski Championships. The event was one of the best in recent history with lots of great parties, challenging skiing, and the usual travel “adventures” that always seem to come with the Int’l ski week!

NAASF passed a new rule this summer:
All racers are required to wear helmets while training and racing. A slalom guard is recommended for training and racing.
Please pass this along to all your teammates. You will not be allowed to race at Northstar or Telluride without a helmet.
